Lodgings In Maui

We stayed at three places - yes three places - but it really worked out well for us.  We started out at the Lahaina Shores condos.  We had a studio apartment with a murphy bed (hides in the wall) with a full kitchen of which we didn't take full advantage but we definitely enjoyed the view!!

We also did some strolling along the beach - nothing at all like the coast in NC or VA!!

After our two nights in Lahiana, we did the Road to Hana (more pictures on that to follow) and stayed at the fabulous Hana Kai-Maui. Very very clean, very quaint, spectacular views!

We STRONGLY recommend not doing the drive out to Hana and back in one day - way exhausting and prevents you from really enjoying what you are seeing which is a whole lot!!

Then last but not least - we spent two nights at the Hyatt.  Very resort-y (complete with penguins and flamingos).  Breakfast brunch was totally over-priced but Japanego (the new sushi restaurant) was awesome - good prices and huge portions.  We spent our  second day at the Hyatt relaxing - getting an ocean-side massage and generally just being incredibly lazy.  Just make sure that you give them back their towel cards - they will totally ding you on the cost even though they don't tell you anything about it up front!!
